Polarn O. Pyret Clothing : A Review

Now that the nights are drawing in, the mornings are getting darker and the air has become much cooler of late, it is time to put away the boy's shorts and tee shirts and think about jumpers, long sleeved tops, vests and thicker, warmer trousers. Yes, winter is most definitely coming and this means needing new outfits for the boys to see them through until spring is sprung once more. 

I think a, what I term as a 'Christmas jumper', is an essential toddler item of clothing because they just look snug and cosy and keep children lovely and warm.

This chunky knit zipped up top is smart aswell as versatile, and can be worn either as hoodie and act as another protective layer to keep your little one's head warm or you can unbutton the hood and have it worn merely as a cardigan. I think it really suits Burton and I know that both of his Grandma's will love it!

To co-ordinate with this top are these navy cargo trousers (although my toddler model wouldn't wear them with the jumper for his photo shoot!).

They have a button and zip to keep them fastened and an elasticated adjustable wasitband which is a great asset as it saves having to use a belt. They are fab with all the pockets and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Perfect trousers for active boys!

I love the colour and design of this long sleeved Forrest Scene tee shirt - the fit is generous considering its aimed at 18-24 month olds (I find this size in tops I buy from most UK high street stores tend to be more snug on Jenson)

This 100% cotton top feels so soft and as a result is gentle on my little one's skin.

The colder months also mean that I will be dressing Jenson back in bodysuits and this stripey one is really nice to wear as an outer layer aswell as to wear under shorter sleeved tee shirts to act as an extra layer.

Being a company who is based in Sweden PO.P should know all there is about warm and protective clothing for children against the elements during the colder months of the year. They do also stock clothes for the warmer months too of course.

Although their clothing ranges are a bit pricey compared to some UK high street retailers,
the company claims that their clothing is so durable that items can be passed down to siblings and still look and feel great and be in good shape! I feel that I don't mind spending a bit extra on clothes if they will last and look presentable after each wash. As a rule, the quality of clothes that do cost more tend to be much better than clothes that are less expensive, so it means that I can recycle them by passing down to a younger brother or a friend's/relative's child/children, which must be more eco friendly in the long run too.
